The Forest of Dean District Council publishes a document entitled: "Scheme of Delegation from the Development Control and Licensing Committee to the Director of Planning & Leisure Services in respect of the Town and Country Planning Acts and related legislation" This document is available free of charge from the Planning Department at the District Council offices in Coleford. I have asked that it be placed on the Council Website, but in the meantime my scanned copy, in Adobe PDF format, may be viewed by clicking on the following link: If you wish to have the application considered at a meeting of the Committee (which, in the case of the Forest of Dean District Council, you are entitled to attend but not participate in), it is important to note that the Director will only refer applications that do not automatically qualify if: "an objection which has been received ........ raises a matter which in his opinion affects planning policies in the Development Plan or another material consideration." Please note that this is a scanned copy dated September 2002 and is reproduced as faithfully as possible. I cannot, however, be held responsible for errors or omissions.
